firesetting TRAINING

Online and In-Person Training from a Leading Expert

For more than 25 years, Dr. Stadolnik has delivered engaging, skill-based, tailored trainings on youth and adult firesetting behavior to mental health professionals and organizations across the United States and internationally. In-person workshops are individually tailored to the needs of organizations serving this diverse population and address specific topics such as adolescent female firesetting, school fires, and ID/DD. That same practical and research-based expertise is now available in the first offering in our new online library featuring an easily accessible, self-paced course on the use and application of the Firesetting Risk Assessment Tool for Youth (FRAT-Y)—the only 3rd generation structured professional judgment tool specific to youth firesetting. This online format will allow individual mental health professionals in youth- and adult-serving organizations increased access to state-of-the-art trainings to develop increased proficiency in the assessment and treatment of youth and adult firesetting.

"The FRAT-Y is, in our experience, the most comprehensive and practical firesetting risk assessment tool available for youth. It combines a thorough evaluation of risk and protective factors with an intuitive, user-friendly structure that supports sound clinical judgment and consistent decision-making. The tool helps clinicians organize complex information in a meaningful way, leading to accurate, reliable, and defensible recommendations."
