In-Person Adult Firesetting Training

During the past decade, the understanding, assessment, and treatment of adult firesetting and arson has made dramatic progress  with the introduction of the Multi-Trajectory Theory of Adult Firesetting (M-TTAF) and the Firesetting Intervention Programs for Mentally Disordered Offenders (FIP-MO) and Prisoners (FIP-P).  Training in this emerging area of practice offers mental health organizations and clinicians a rare chance to expand their existing expertise in behavioral intervention with these diverse and complex clients where skilled assessment and intervention are critical to improving quality of life and maximizing client and community safety.  Specialized training positions organizations at the forefront of this emerging field—one that blends forensic and psychological insight, trauma‑informed care, and risk management. Building competence in this area not only strengthens organizational capacity to work confidently with high‑risk adults, but also opens doors to new professional roles, interdisciplinary collaboration, and leadership opportunities in increasing community safety, criminal justice, and specialized mental health services.
